Our Approach
One Community at a Time
Quality Care
Clinically sound, evidence-based treatment delivered with dignity and respect.
Culturally Appropriate
Care shaped around the traditions and lived realities of Lake Victoria communities.
Affordable
Removing cost as a barrier so rural families can access the care they need.

Why Mbita
Rural distance is the difference between treatable and fatal.
Across the Lake Victoria region, the nearest hospital can be hours away by road or water. For a mother in obstructed labour or a child with severe malaria, that distance decides the outcome.
MED25 exists to close it. We run a full hospital in Mbita so that care is local, affordable, and staffed around the clock by people from the communities it serves.
Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care.
